Abstract

Composite moulded shoe soles are claimed which have a wear layer made of polyamide or of a dense rubber with the bulk of the sole body overmoulded by injection moulding of solid or expanded polyurethane resin or of expanded rubber. Combines the good wear resistance of the rubber with the lighter wt. and better heat-resistance and thermal insulation properties of the cellular/polyurethae core. They are also lighter and less tiring to wear than conventional solid PVC soles.
