Abstract

To compensate for the measurement error due to the scattering of the characteristic of the radiation detector contained in the measuring probes in a radiation measuring instrument, an adjustable resistor (36) is arranged in the measuring probe (6), which is a component of the RC circuit of the rate meter arrangement (16) and is connected to the RC circuit via contacts (2, 3) of the connecting device so that measuring probes can be exchanged without recalibration of the radiation measuring instrument.
