Abstract

The swimming pool has two square or rectangular areas (1,2) furnished with lifting frames (5) and other usual accessories including the continuous handrail (4). The rectangular basins are joined by a third area (3) whose sides are not parallel but are narrow at each end and diverge as a curve at the centre. This allows persons of very different size and build to float in the central section while supporting themselves by holding the handrail with extended arms. Small persons can float at either end and larger persons can float in the centre.
