Abstract

The vice has demountable and interchangeable jaw caps (12,13). A fixed (1) and a screw driven moveable jaw (3) may be incorporated, comprising pillars (1,3) which crank in at 45 degress before returning (8,9) horizontally toward one another at the same level. The jaw caps have a precisely machined inverted 'L' section which houses onto the leading top corner of a jaw, being secured by a sliding connection with a 'T' section cap rib (26) entering a jaw groove (27) of the reciprocal profile.
