Abstract

The gate valve for liquids has a movable casing (2) inside a body (1). This rotates on a pivot (9) via a control shaft (3) with a channel for fluid to pass. There are two floating sealing seatings (4a,4b) coaxially between one part and the other of the casing inside flange/stays (6a,6b). Each seat works with a flexible piece (5a,5b) and presses on the casing via them. The casing has a flat part perpendicular to its pivot in the form of a ramp pressing on the two seatings. The profile ensures that, open or shut, the seatings contact the housing via the flexibles.
