Abstract

An electric stove is able to provide several heating plates, grilling facilities both at variable distance and by contact, a rotisserie, and a toaster. Two electrically heated rectangular plates are oriented horizontally, one forming the base (1) and the other the cover (2). A bracket (3) mounted on the base and provides a hinge allowing the cover to be opened to either 90 degrees or 100 degrees to the base. The same bracket provides support for the cover when it is raised above the base. One or more heating elements may be embedded in the heating plates (1,2) and may be wire or tubular construction with glass fibre insulation. The rotisserie is constructed by opening the cover to 90 degrees to the base and clipping two wire grilles vertically at either end of the base. The grilles are shaped to take the rotisserie motor at one end and the end of the skewer at the other. A socket is provided in the base for the rotisserie motor. The control panel can include switching to regulate the heating and a timer. Thermostatic control may also be included.
