Abstract

The seat can be transformed into a bed, and is esp. for convertible bed-settees. Its back is made in several parts (2a,2b), hinged at the top (7), which can be unfolded and lowered on to the upper part (1a) of the seat (1). One part (2b) of the back is hinged (3) on the upper part of the seat which is hinged to its lower part (1b) at the front (4). This can be unfolded in front of the lower part of the seat to form the surface of the bed.
