Abstract
The snail-rearing battery consists of a number of adjacent cells with systems for humidifying their atmosphere. It comprises a series of vertical housings (1) in a row, each having a base and a sidewall, one at least of whose ends is open. Each cell is formed by two adjacent housings bearing against each other at the ends of their sidewalls. The housings can be movable horizontally along guide rails (7), typically by means of rollers (9), the rails extending along two of their diagonally-opposite edges.
