Abstract

The bale grip is for use with a bale-handling elevator, and enables them to be handled even when very moist and distorted by successive handling operations, by hurlers. It comprises a blade (5) only a few millimetres thick, to reduce adhesion and counteract distortion of the blade (2'). This blade can be arranged to thrust the bales against the conveyor (8) with a light and even pressure. Its distance from the conveyor can be adjustable.
