Abstract

Cette charnière se compose de deux pièces métalliques semblables structurées pour se fixer chacune au bord de chacun des éléments à réunir et reliées entre elles par une articulation à genouillère comprenant une biellette portant à chacune de ses extrémités un axe engagé dans deux paliers percés dans les oreilles latérales d'une chape pratiquée aux extrémités en regard des pièces; cette chape est conformée pour former butée bloquant l'articulation quand les deux pièces sont en alignement. Cette charnière se loge dans des échancrures pratiquées au bord de la table et des tablettes, et les pièces le composant sont préférablement de l'épaisseur de la table pour être de niveau avec elle. Elle peut être utilisée avec des tablettes épaisses pour lesquelles les charnières classiques ne peuvent pas convenir.
