Abstract

The appts. limits the travel of a pivoting arm on a cutting off machine. It has devices for measuring displacement length and length travelled respectively. The former is fixed relative to the machine mounting and follows the arm rotation around its pivot. The length travelled measuring device is made up of projections and a switch at the end of travel. It incorporates a potentiometer to signal displacement and gives an electrical signal. Final positioning of each position is by a saw tooth arrangement. The device also adjusts cutter height.
