Abstract

The weight suspending system uses cables (29, 2b, 39, 3b) fixed to various parts of the weight (13). The cable pattern has a symmetrical vertical axis. The angles between at least two cables can be compared with a plan on the weight. The angles are normally equal in the usual weight position. There is an automatic control acting on an angle difference signal to keep the angles correct. The control exerts electrically a differential pull on the cables of one pair. The jib (1) carries a symmetrical set of pulleys (4a, 4b, 5a, 5b).
