Abstract
La présente invention a pour objet une pile électrochimique primaire ne nécessitant pas une pré-électrolyse pour engendrer l'oxydant de la cathode, et qui présente une tension relativement élevée en circuit ouvert qui reste constante dans le temps. Selon l'invention, une telle pile électrochimique primaire comprend en combinaison : - une anode active oxydable, - un collecteur de courant inerte, - un électrolyte au contact de l'anode et du collecteur de courant, constitué essentiellement par au moins un sel électrolytique soluble et un mélange, à titre de solvants, d'anhydride sulfurique et d'anhydride sulfureux. L'anhydride sulfurique étant le seul matériau cathodique actif.The present invention relates to a primary electrochemical cell which does not require pre-electrolysis to generate the oxidant of the cathode, and which has a relatively high open circuit voltage which remains constant over time. According to the invention, such a primary electrochemical cell comprises in combination: - an oxidizable active anode, - an inert current collector, - an electrolyte in contact with the anode and the current collector, consisting essentially of at least one electrolytic salt soluble and a mixture, as solvents, of sulfur dioxide and sulfur dioxide. Sulfuric anhydride being the only active cathode material.
