Abstract
The components are esp. mechanically controlled miniature thermostats. A tightly fitting cap is put on the component case, and its free end is covered with insulation. At least the free end of the case is coated with an insulating material (5) by injection moulding under pressure. The component is supplied in a hetal housing, and the lead (3) is attached by soldering or any other suitable process. A cap (4) of insulating material is then fitted over the metal casing of the thermostat. The cap may be of moulded construction. The whole assembly is then placed in the injection moulding machine to cover the exposed top surface of the thermostat and the junction between the lead and the thermostat.
