Abstract

The simulator allows inexperienced persons to be trained to drive earth working machines at less cost than by using the actual machine. The risk of accident is avoided. The simulator comprises a cabin (10) in which a driver can sit at a seat (11) in front of the controls. The cabin is mounted on jacks (12) which give the inclination from resulting maneauvers. The driver observes the wheels from a TV camera (26) via a projector (27) and screen (28). Servometers on the drivers controls (13, 14) provide feedback of actual conditions while a processor (29) provides the necessary signals for a motor supply block (33) and a block (37) which controls movement forces for the cabin jacks. A control desk (30) allows the instructor to insert changing ground consistency signals into the processor.
