Abstract

The slitter consists of an endless chain (1) located after the conveyor. Both the chain and the conveyor are fitted with slats. The chain and the conveyor are power driven. Two horizontal cutters are driven by an electric motor. The bags are guided by guide plates on either side of the track. The emplty bags are ejected via a slide. The bags are emptied over a sieve into a hopper connected to a chute. The litter may be located on a structure at the top of an elevator.
