Abstract
The destacking head comprises a rotating screw flight (1) which passes the papers to an initial marshalling point (5), a flat belt (3) assisting. At the marshalling point, the papers are stacked to a level controlled by a capacitor switch (4). This latter starts the destacking conveyor (7), which is a flat belt perforated over one or two areas (P) and rotating over rollers (8, 9). An orbital movement is imposed on the head and this is synchronised so that, as each perforated area passes over a suction chamber (10) a paper is picked up and sepd. from the stack.
