Abstract
The asynchronous linear motor is intended for high speed floor conveyors, but may be also used, e.g. in metallurgical plants for non-ferrous metals. The inductor consists of individual box-shaped cores with concentrated polyphase main coil. The cores have shanks connected by a yoke. The inductor moves in relation to the motor secondary element which has a current conducting part mounted on a magnetically conductive base plate. Each core (2) has two polyphase additional coils (9) which generate magnetic fields propagating on opposite sides in the direction at right angles to that of the inductor (1) displacement. The front faces of the lateral shanks (4) of the cores, facing the secondary element (6), are formed slots for the polyphase additional coils. In this manner the position of the inductor, in relation to the secondary element can be stabilised, esp. in the transverse direction.
