Abstract

The machine has a base which supports a horizontal conveyor (2) driven through a chain drive by the motor (3). The extended screw (4) is located at the opposite end of the machine, and is driven by the motor (6) through the flexible drive (5). The screw (4) spaces the bottles (7) equally along the container. The bottles pass through a light beam from the projector (14) to the screen (15) which detect the angle of the bottle as it passes the labelling station. Each bottle is simultaneously pivoted about its axis and translated in a direction perpendicular to its axis in the advancing direction.
