Abstract

The adjustable cable operated clutch has the clutch cable hooked at the end of a small control arm (12) pivoted at the end of the pedal of relative setting of the arms is controlled by a servo (16) so that clutch play can be taken up automatically. The adjusting servo operates against a stop (24) to limit the travel of the pedal. The relative swing of the upper arm determines the amount of adjustment with the different return spring pressures adjusted to prevent clutch drag and ensure a set amount of play.
