Abstract

An appts. for peritoneal dialysis comprises: a catheter capable of being implanted in the peritoneal wall of a patient; a principal, or injection, circuit; a secondary, or discharge, circuit; a reverse of sterilising liq. connected to the principal circuit; a source of washing liq. connected to the principal circuit; a reverse of concentrate in the case where the appts. does not include a reverse of dialysate ready for use, this reverse of concentrate being connected to the principal circuit; controls the injection, diffusion and discharge stages of the dialysis phase proper; and a circular pump and valves. The principal, or injection, circuit is connected to a reserve of dialysate ready for use or to a generator of sterile water and is capable of being put into communication on the other hand with an inlet pipe of the catheter. The auxiliary, or discharge circuit is connected to drain and is put into communication with an outlet pipe of the catheter or with the principal circuit. The sterile water generator includes pref. an inverse osmosis unit.
