Abstract

A stiffener frame for a woven hose forming a filter is divided longitudinally into two or a number of sections. The ends of the lengthways running wire support rods which are attached to each other by fixing rings, are curved inwards, so that the ends of the rods of one section cross over the ends of the rods of the next; the two sections being locked together at their internal crossing points by an outwards acting clamping ring. System provides a stiffener for a length of filter hose which allows the filter installation to be assembled and dismantled without difficulty when the absolute min. of space is available. The stiffener is unaffected by high temp. and has no projections which can damage the hose.
