Abstract

A large container for external use for unobtrusive collection of rubbish and storage of water has a smooth body incorporating integral feet, hooded openings for ventilation and tubular external brackets for holding ancillary tools, e.g. brooms or fire fighting tools. The container may have a body made of GFR polyester resin with a sloping lid fixed by hinge rods of PVC or PTFE. A platform for supporting rubbish above a chamber for holding water is pref. a panel of reinforced resin with flexible seals of silicone rubber around the edge. Typically the capacity for rubbish bags and for water storage is approx. 500 litres each. The plastics materials are used for durability, pref. are coloured in bulk.
