Abstract

The first section of the packer (A) has a stock (2) of lid blanks stored flat in a magazine. It is fitted with suction pads (5), which are operated by hydraulic jacks (6). The level is maintained with the aid of counterweights (7) which lift the base (1). The second section (B) has a supply of glue (8) for the lids, applied before preforming. The lid is formed between the die (11) and anvil (13). The container is closed at the third section (e) by covering the base which is held on the supports (19).
