Abstract

The connector for bare single cables allows a junction to be made and the position of the junction to be adjusted. The connector is in two parts (A, B) both of which have a 'C' cross-section but one extending at right angles into a complete cylinder (14) which is crimped about the cable (15) coming into the junction. The open edges of both parts are profiled such that the part carrying the right angle junction (A) slides within the other to form a complete cylinder. The cable (16) to which a junction is to be made is laid in the two parts in their retracted position. The two parts are then pushed together, a shoulder on the outer part limiting its movement. After adjustment of position, the mated halves are crimped onto the cable.
