Abstract

Cartridge shot chamber with wadding which is split to make fins. Near its base each fin is weakened to make it open or detach itself on leaving the barrel. This frees the cone of shot and brakes the wadding in the air. The weakening is done at quarter of the length of each fin measured from the base of the shot chamber. It takes the form of a groove made in the fin inner surface. The weakening of the fin can also be done by a hole in its base (as well as the groove).
