Abstract

The bowed glass with a flat circular rim forming with a plastic support ring, a window for the door of a washing machine, has the front face of its rim supported by the inner leg of a "U"-shaped recess in the ring. The outer leg of the "U" enclosing at a short distance away, the inner leg, forms a support for the rear face of the rim of the glass which is thus locked to the ring. The assembly of the glass into the door can be carried out much more quickly and irrespective of any irregularity in the thickness of the rim, by folding back the leg of the plastic ring in the cold condition.
