Abstract
An automatic installation on a vehicle allows its geographical position to be determined at a central control station for display. Vehicle information and its environmental conditions are all transmitted to the control station. An international radio navigation receiver is mounted in a vehicle together with a coding unit which receives processed information from the navigation receiver. Initial data is injected into the coder by an input unit. A number of detectors sense various data parameters such as temperature which are then coded. The input unit also receives data from the control station via a transmitter receiver unit. A storage unit stores and programs message transmission and reception and a manual control allows personnel to communicate specific information to the control station.
