Abstract

An aircraft simulator comprises a hollow sphere (2) in which a pilot is located in an aircraft cell (5) such that his eyes (E) are closed to the centre (O) of the sphere. A projector (F) comprises a fish eye lens (5) close to the centre of the sphere and with its axis (6) horizontal. An aerial image (I) from a photograph (7) is obtained via a TV camera (8) connected to an electronic assembly (10) and to which a TV projection tube (13) is connected. The tube screen (15) is at the focal point of the lens which projects the required image. The image projected corresponds to the pilots pitch angle.
