Abstract

The lid is fitted with two grooves adjacent each other, one to the side and one at the top. The side groove has parallel sides, and the top groove has tapering sides. Each groove houses an 'O' ring. Each 'O' ring seals the container on the top and side faces of the flange. The container is also sealed with a membrane. The top 'O' ring has a cut away portion to allow the lid to be prised from the container. The central part of the lid has a renewable base.
