Abstract

The tooth cleaner produces a high pressure jet of liquid through a straight or curved cannula which is directed towards the teeth and gums. The device includes a reservoir for the liq. which can be a water and alcohol mixt., a pump operated by the hand or foot, a flexible pipe and a fine cannula. The cylindrical reservoir (A) is covered by a lid (D) with a plugged refill hole in it. The liq. in the reservoir is forced into the cannula when a spring loaded plunger is pushed down. The spring (G) biases the plunger towards the raised, refill position and also damps the force provided by the user's hand or foot.
