Abstract

An assembly consisting of explosive, mechanism and detonator (15) of a demolition type charge. It has a tubular container (6) running the length of the charge. At one end is the demolition charge and an electrical firing device, surrounded by powder to set off the demolition charge. At the other end is a relay (9) of the main charge and an electrical control in a part which turns on an axis through its centre. This has a positioner for two wedges (22, 23) limiting rotation between "safe" and "fire". A return spring (17) operates on one wedge, self destructing when the explosive acts. There is also a mechanical lock.
