Abstract

The electronic power supply is used to power the telephone lines and automatic switching installation. This supply allows the low frequency voltages to be supplied without the attenuation and distortion generated in previous systems. A supply circuit comprises an operational amplifier (A01) followed by transistors (TR3, 1, 2). Overall feedback is provided by a resistor (R6). Diodes (D1, 2) protect the output transistors (TR1, 2) while a third diode (D3) protects the operational amplifier when the ringing signal operates. This is necessary since the voltage at the subscriber terminal (A, B) rises to high levels. A resistor (R7) at the input ensures that the potential at the input (E) is zero in the absence of the signal. When a signal is present the voltage at the ends (a, b) of a line are symmetrical and equal to the input voltage.
