IT IS CHARACTERIZED IN THAT IT CONSISTS OF IMMERSING THE SENSOR EQUIPPED WITH A MEMBRANE OF A GIVEN THICKNESS IN A GAS BALANCED MEASUREMENT SOLUTION FOR WHICH IT IS CALIBRATED, THEN SUBMITTING THE HUMIDIFIED ELECTRODE TO A GAS PHASE CONTAINING A DEFINED CONCENTRATION OF SAID GAS, UNTIL THE MEASURING EQUIPMENT INDICATES A MINIMUM. THIS RESULTS IN A CONSIDERABLE SIMPLIFICATION OF THE CALIBRATION OPERATION.
