Abstract
The self camouflaging cover is for use on land mines. When delivered ready for sowing, or dropping from an aircraft, the mine has a protective outer cover (15). This can be removed or ejected and exposes rows of spikes and/or hooks (14) over the surface (6). These projections are flexible and made from steel, their dimensions being approx. 0.2-0.7mm diameter and 2-3mm long. They are intended to pick up and hold natural vegetation, clumps of earth and grass, to disguise the outline of the mine.
