Abstract

The machine is for cutting paper or carboard to accurate dimensions and has a stop which holds the stack of paper in the correct position w.r.t. the blade. The position of the stop is adjusted by the rotation of a screwed rod which drives a rotating disc through a chain and gear train. The disc is illuminated from behind by a lamp which is inscribed with a scale in cm. indicating the size of the paper being cut. A digital display unit is also incorporated and gives a reading in millimetres and tenths of a milimetre.
