a. L'invention est relative à une machine-outil. b. Elle concerne un mode d'établissement de machine-outil travaillant par rapprochement et appui de deux parties l'une par rapport à l'autre, caractérisé par le fait que le rapprochement et l'appui des deux parties coagissantes s'opèrent grâce à la combinaison d'approche d'un dispositif à faible pression et d'un organe particulier de grande surface interpose, associé à au moins l'une des deux parties coagissantes, disposé entre celle-ci et le dispositif d'approche qui lui est affecté - organe qui sera ci-apres désigné << le vérin plat >> - ledit vérin plat étant constitué par deux éléments rigides de grande surface superposés, assemblés de manière à constituer une capacité étanche susceptible d'être gonflée par un fluide à basse pression ; la force d'appui ainsi développée étant fonction de la surface dudit vérin plat. c. L'invention est notamment destinée à une machine à plier.
