Abstract

The weatherproof tubular metallic window or door frame has a fixed frame (2) bedded solidly into the walls (7) of the building. The fixed frame has a flexible elastic joint (8). A drainage channel (24) leads to the exterior and is hinged to the moving frame. The moving frame carries a glass pane (6) with channels (54) beneath it to receive interior condensation and has a drip edge (55) which prevents water getting to the inside even if the elastic joint (8) is not fully flush with the face (50'). The drip edge feeds the drainage channel (24).
