Abstract

A bituminous compsn. comprises (a) a cutback bitumen contg. a vapocracking residue as diluent or a bitumen obtd. by blowing a visco reduction residue and (b) a minor amt. of a conjugated diene-acrylonitrile or alkylacrylonitrile block copolymer of average mol. wt. Mn 1000-20000, pref. 2000-10000. The compsn. has improved hot storage stability partic. with respect to viscosity increase with time and/or softening and penetration properties. It is used e.g. for road surfacing and as a sealant in the building industry.
