Abstract
The system allows bogies on suspended monorails to change level continuously and smoothly. The height changing section of monorail has twin sided equipment of belts (9) driven mechanically in the direction of bogie movement. The bogies have a block beneath them with slots for a friction drive. The block can be driven by a number of belts pressed on by spring rollers (13). The belts are guided by grooved gullies (10, 12) to move parallel to the movement of the bogie and also to keep this alignment on curves. Ratchets (15) released by broken belts, hold the bogie safely on an incline.
