Abstract

The safety device is of the centrifugal spira-strip type for use with a rotary missile fuse. The strip is wound round a core holding the striker pin in a safe position. The core is in two segments separated from each other (13', 13") each covering an angular zone of 180deg. or less. The segments can each extend round the striker pin through 180 deg., and they can be of heat-treated steel.
