Abstract
The ski stick has a device to measure the air speed relative to the skier's, allowing the speed of a descent and the maximum speed attained to be read. It consists of a transparent graduated tube (1) with conical interior walls. At the base of the tube there is an opening (2) and at the top there is an opening (3) open to the wind. A ball in the tube is held in a position balanced by the two air pressures and its position indicates the speed. The tube can be fixed to the handle of the stick and can be slid into it when not in use.
