Abstract

The drip-feed system includes a flask for the liquid feed which encloses the feed, maintains it at the correct temperature and isolates it from exterior germs. The flask has an agitator projecting into it to ensure the homogenisation of the contents. The agitator is in the form of a stem with one end attached to the shaft of a variable speed motor mounted above the flask. The flask is contained inside an isothermal container which has an observation window in one side and two sealed apertures at the top for the insertion of the agitator and the pump supply line.
