Abstract

Continuous mfr. of electric cable comprises passing a linear core cable inserted in a thin metal tubular cover through a pair of rollers having grooved surfaces and thereby, rim ends of the thin metal tubular cover are strongly fastened. Process further comprises treating the cable by a latent arc welding step in the presence of a protective gas and then, clamping. Corrugated or spiral patterns are produced on the surface of the cable casing.
