Abstract

A compsn. partic. useful or producing ostomy joints comprises 40-70% glycerine, 20-50% PVP and 5-20% CMC, pref. NaCMC. The compsn. is prepd. by mixing the components at 20-80 degrees C in the given order. The compsn. satisfies all the requirements for ostomy joints, viz. elasticity, adhesion to skin, resistance to enzymic secretions etc.. Its components are easily available.
