Abstract

The telescopic hydraulic shock absorber has a piston defining two chambers in a cylinder. The piston includes a transverse partition (15) itself capable of limited displacement, the partition defining a sealed divider between two spaces (19, 20). Each of the latter communicates with one of the working chambers (7, 8) of the shock absorber. The piston pref. consists of a body (2) positioned between two valve carriers (4, 5) the displaceable partition being a flexible diaphragm The spaces (19, 20) communicated with the working chambers via passages (21, 22, 23) in the piston rod and cap (18).
