Abstract

The cigarette-holder has a non-circular internal cross-section. Those portions (2, 3) clear of the cigarette on the internal face form passages running along it from the air outside, so as to deliver the latter to the lips of the smoker without it passing through the cigarette. It can have an arched wall acting as a spring, movement of the two opposite ridges towards each other enlarging the opening temporarily for cigarette insertion.
