Abstract

The intensive bird-rearing equipment is particularly for quails, having cage supports made of wood. Some at least of the cage walls (9) are of marine plywood, consisting of wooden boards secured together by water resistant glue, and at least 3mm thick. All vertical walls can be without any roughness or protrusions on the inside, while a grille can be fixed to the bottom of the cage, all cages being independent. Compared with metal cages, less heat is required, and droppings are easily cleaned off without affecting the material.
