Abstract

The headlamp setting control valve has the valve element (23) displaced by a stepped cam (32) linked to the load sensing arm. The discrete steps on the cam provide discrete adjustments for set loadings of the axle, and enables a more stable control to be achieved. The headlamp setting remains stable with suspension vibrations. The control element operates on two slave elements (13, 14) for an improved control, with each slave linked to one headlamp.
