Abstract

The button has a rigid support disc (1) which has projection underneath (2) with a hole (4) in it for sewing the bottom to a garment. A second thin disc (6), which can be flat or convex, is fixed over the support disc. It is rigidly fixed to the support disc by a clip formed by the edges of the disc which are turned down (8) to grip the sides of the support. The clip can be formed by several feet produced by cutting out part of the edges of the disc. The button is esp. for uniforms forms a crest or other decoration is embossed on the outer disc and can be readily replaced should the occasion arise.
